About the Wild Rivers Coast Forest Collaborative

WHAT WE DO

Founded in 2012, the Wild Rivers Coast Forest Collaborative brings together a diverse group of local and regional stakeholders united by a common goal: resolving long-standing challenges in natural resource management. Our collaborative approach helps overcome the conflicts and gridlock that have hindered progress in managing the forests of the Wild Rivers Coast.

We believe that now is a crucial time to create positive momentum. By working together, we are addressing critical issues surrounding the management of public forest lands, with a focus on restoration, sustainability, and community resilience.

Through regular meetings, field visits, project planning, and ongoing dialogue, our members build trust, foster strong relationships, and identify shared goals. Together, we are advancing a forward-thinking agenda that prioritizes forest restoration and the long-term health of our communities and ecosystems.

WRCFC MISSION

The Wild Rivers Coast Forest Collaborative supports resilient unique habitats, healthy watersheds, and sustainable forest product industries by working with diverse stakeholders in forest health and co-stewardship of natural resources to advance recreational and cultural opportunities thereby improving human health via the appropriate public use of forest lands. The WRCFC strives to ensure the local community will realize maximum ecological and socio-economic benefits from projects in southwest Oregon forests.

IMPROVING FOREST MANAGEMENT TOGETHER

WRCFC is fiscally sponsored by the Southern Oregon Forest Restoration Collaborative (SOFRC), based in the Rogue Valley. This partnership enables WRCFC to have local impact with regional benefits, and maintain strong relationships for landscape scale management.
